ST Racing Bounces Back

At the recent Circuit Paul Richards and the Hockenheimring it was not an easy time for ST Racing.

Unfortunately they experienced two difficult rounds leaving them in a vulnerable position on the score board. Thankfully this pitfall didn’t last too long for the team as ST Racing bounces back into the Overall GT Teams championship hunt after gaining their second GT4-class win of the season at the Hankook 24H Barcelona.

Initially ST Racing entered the fifth championship round of the 24H Series by a disappointing 11 points behind the Overall GT Teams leader DUWO Racing and an additional two points behind Vortex V8.  Thankfully due to issues for both of its rivals combined with a commanding win in the GT4 class; this means ST Racing bounces back into second overall in the Overall GT standings with just a shy five points now behind DUWO racing.

With only two rounds of the season left ST Racing are now feeling more motivated than ever to keep the winning streak running right up until the end. High praise was given to the co-owner Samantha Tan who competed in Barcelona alongside Nick Wittmer, John Miller and Chandler Hull. It was clear that an incredible effort was made by the entire team to ensure a flawless run was executed at a crucial time.

The past three races in the 24H Series were extremely disappointing for the team mainly owing to mechanical failures. Thankfully the drivers now have an amazing car where they were finally able to show their true potential and the great result that was achieved at the 24H Barcelona. This showed just what ST Racing is truly capable of.

ST Racings rivals DUWO Racing did salvage second place in the 911-class just behind Willi Motorsport by Ebimotors who took the win despite running out of fuel during the very early stages of the race. Not to mention Barcelona proving to be very tough in general for Vortex V8 which resulted in lost time on the track due to collisions and suspected gearbox issues. As ST Racing are now sitting comfortably at only five points behind, they are more than ready to put their best foot forward for their next race in Sicily.
