The latest announcement around the Hankook 24H Dubai is that ST Racing are set to compete with BMW in January 2022.
The overall GT Teams’ contender have recently confirmed that they will be making an exciting return with BMW where they will unveil two brand-new M4 GT3s at the Hankook 24H Dubai. Already this season ST Racing have begun their first full endurance campaign with Creventic where they have already secured GT4-class wins in Dubai along with the non-championship round that took place at Abu Dhabi with its BMW M4 GT4.
As ST Racing are set to compete with BMW, the Canadian team are now just nine points adrift of the current standings leader DUWO Racing. The ST Racing team are currently on par with PROsport Performance in the GT4-class standings. This position of the Canadian team who led the overall GT Teams’ standing after two rounds all unfolded after ST Racing achieved their class podiums at Mugello, Hockenheim and Circuit Paul Richard.
As the Canadian team are now heading to Dubai for the 2022 Hankook 24H; they are now set to transition from GT4 into Creventic’s GT3 top tier for the upcoming 2022 season with the new GT3s. There is great excitement swirling around this as spectators will get to experience the Canadian team embark on new challenges and push new boundaries. The team co-owner and driver, Samantha Tan, expressed her gratitude for the sponsors of the team as they have made a significant impact on helping ST Racing achieve their goal.
In light of ST Racings recent announcement, this means that BMW will be represented in the top class of the Hankook 24H Dubai for the first time since 2015. At that particular event we would have witnessed Britain’s Triple Eight finish seventh in A6-Am and nineteenth overall with a Z4 GT3. BMW are a known favourite in Dubai as they have previously been titled as a three-time outright winner where Need for Speed by Schubert Motorsport achieved the last win in 2011 along with Austria’s Duller Motorsport (who won back to back at the very first Hankook 24H Dubai with an M3 CSL and a X4 Coupe). As ST Racing are set to compete with BMW, the entire team are very excited and motivated for the step up and the new challenges ahead.
