Sport 21 Steps into iRacing

In what we think is among a first of its kind, Sport 21 will be supporting our WEC, Formula E, GP2 and top simulator driver Tom Dillmann, in a series of sim races (iRacing) that are now replacing real life races in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

TOM Dillmann

Dillmann will line up against some of the top professional racers in the world – including Max Verstappen, Mirko Bortolotti, Lance Stroll, Lando Norris and more. As we touched upon before, iRacing and eSports are seeing a massive rise in popularity at the moment and as sponsors of and advisors, Sport 21 show how we not only recognise trends within the motorsport industry, but are poised and primed to act upon them too.

This is just the first of many upcoming races that we are supporting and developing commercial partnerships for drivers as the motorsport industry shines a light on this exciting digital and simulation racing arena.

While we all of course can’t wait to get back to real life race tracks once it is safe to do so; one can’t help but think that the likes of iRacing and eSports will become a more widely supported staple in the aftermath too.

With many professional racers on board and cutting edge graphics and simulations in use, this is an offering for racing fans that is truly global and immersive.
