GTX PODIUM FOR Li AND BRUNOT IN 12H HOCKENHEIMRING

Leipert Motorsport drivers Kerong Li and Jean-Francois Brunot continued their strong podium momentum during the latest round of the Hankook 24H Series, the Hankook 12H Hockenheimring, over the weekend with a second place finish in the GTX class.

Joined by German racer Tim Muller for his ‘home’ race, the trio steered the No.710 Lamborghini Huracan to the runner-up position even though having to coax the car to the finish on Sunday evening as a result of coolant loss during the final couple of hours.

Qualifying on Friday evening went well, securing GTX pole position on average times across the three sessions, and the Leipert entry performed strongly throughout the first part of the race on Saturday before concluding the opening six hours and five minutes of action second in class.

In Sunday’s remaining five hours and 55 minutes of racing, their pace was strong again – setting the fastest GTX lap on both days – and managed to secure second position even with the coolant leak during the latter stages.

Portugal is the destination for the sixth event of the 24H Series campaign, the 24H Portimao, which will take place over the weekend 9th/10th July.
