We will be racing a Ferrari 488 GT3 with a team consisting of our founder JM Littman (seasoned real world endurance racer and recently joined the eSports and iRacing community during the COVID-19 lockdown), our sponsored driver Tom Dillmann (Formula E, GP2, Le Mans LMP1 driver and recently All Stars eSports winner), JP De Oliveira and from the fourteen times World champion team, SDL eSports, Laurent Benso and Kévin Tavares.

Being held on Saturday the 23rd of May 2020, this will unite racers and teams from all around the world for a virtual race on the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Held via iRacing, Ole Dörlemann (sporting co-ordinator for CREVENTIC) explains: “Our European season was initially set to start at Monza. We had more than 60 cars confirmed for the event, and we were looking forward to the pre-race parade that would make use of the Autodromo’s historic banking. That confirmed just how much interest there was in an official CREVENTIC event at Monza. It was any easy decision that, whether it was in reality or virtually, our first European race would be at Monza!”

As the racing world embraces iRacing and eSports while physical racing is delayed and postponed due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) restrictions; this is the latest virtual race that is fast becoming the norm. Looking forward to a great race to come! The schedule is as follows:

  • 9:50 – 10:05 Qualifying TCR class
  • 10:05 – 10:20 Qualifying GT4 class
  • 10:20 – 10:35 Qualifying 991 class
  • 10:35 – 10:50 Qualifying GT3 class
  • 11:00 – 23:00 Race Start (12 hours)

This final sentiment from our founder JM Littman echoes the excitement of the race: Thanks to Pro Sim, I joined the virtual racing simulator world in April and it’s been a steep learning curve! iRacing’s mentally more of a challenge than real life racing. You have to concentrate purely on the visuals on screen and the feedback through the wheel. On track, you have so much more stimulation from your other senses. It’s a real challenge and one that I’m really enjoying!”
