ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours 2022

The Nürburgring 24 Hours as we know it first appeared on the motorsport calendar in 1970, organised by the ADAC, or the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club, if you want to be specific. Before 1970, endurance racing events on the Nürburgring were far more sporadic, made up of 12, 24, 36, 84 and even 96 hour events that were not overseen by a single governing body.

Today, the race is held on the Nordschleife, or north loop, integrating the GP circuit on its southern edge. The Nürburgring itself might have a sinister reputation, but part of its difficulty is the varied weather conditions that tend to douse the track in rain, fog and sunshine in unequal measure, and often all at the same time on different parts of the track!

Sport21 will be represented by Adam Christodolou in the GetSpeed Performance Pink BWT Mercedes and also by Jean-Francois Brunot in the KKraemerRacing Cayman GT4

Live coverage starts 1pm UK time Saturday 28th May
