AC Motorsport Aims to Avoid Trouble at Hockenheim

As the Hankook 12H is fast approaching, AC Motorsport aims to avoid trouble at Hockenheim.

AC Motorsport have recently entered a difficult period where they had encountered some late race issues at the Paul Ricard Circuit last month – not to mention the previous scene that unfolded in Germany earlier on in the year. It is in their best interest to avoid any further distress particularly in the weeks ahead if they have hopes to keep the Overall TCE Team’s championship spirit alive at the Hankook 12H Hockenheimring that is scheduled to take place very soon.

Unfortunately for the AC Motorsport team, they experienced significant issues with the left rear hub assembly at last month’s Circuit Paul Ricard that brought a commanding run for the #188 Audi RS 3 LMS which had to come to an abrupt end with only 90 minutes remaining in the race. Further back at last year’s inaugural Hankook 16H Hockenheimring event, unfortunately AC motorsport suffered from being tangled on the start-finish straight. Although the Audi performed well, inevitably the team had to retire from the event.

AC Motorsport aims to avoid trouble at Hockenheim at all costs this weekend as the Belgian team now only has just one point adrift of TCE championship lead Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing. A spokesperson from the team explained that although the Hockenheimring is not the best option for Audi they are confident they have every chance of redeeming themselves.

Similarly to last month, we can expect to see Perrin team up with TCR Benelux race winner Matthieu Detry. The duo is also expected to be joined in the #188 Audi by Stefan Wieninger who has previously competed in the 24H Series at the 2017 Hankook 12H IMOLA driving an LSM Engineering TT R2.

AC Motorsport aims to avoid trouble at Hockenheim at the upcoming event as the team are very aware of the skill that will also be competing this weekend. We can expect to see nothing short of a passionate team putting the work in to do what it takes to win the title.
